I'm Selina! I'm a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Lexington, SC, and I'm so happy you're here!
I'm a wife to Lee, and mama to Eliana and Soraya! I'm a night owl by nature so staying up late is more than normal. Waking up early has always been a struggle for me; and now that both girls are in preschool, we are barely making it, but we get them there! I care for tiny humans in the NICU as a night shift RN. Being a neonatal nurse is a job I wanted since high school, and I feel so blessed to be able to live that dream. I'm slowly and leisurely learning Spanish since I'm technically a "no sabo" kid. I have taken up my love for reading again! Now it's a problem because I'm having to balance reading into my priorities and list of to-do's; especially if it's a book I don't want to put down. I LOVE natural light. I love clear blue skies, I love how morning light falls on trees, I love how light comes through a window in the afternoon. If I can help it, florescent lighting is kept at a minimum in my house. More windows = happiness anywhere I am!
My Why
As long as I can remember, I would jokingly call myself a "photographer". I was always very particular of composition before I even knew that was a thing, and I was constantly taking pictures as if it would be put into a magazine. I was gifted my first digital camera in middle school, and that's where my passion for taking pictures began. I purchased my first DSLR in 2020 so I could take my own maternity photos and I could edit them myself. I have always had a vision in my head when it came to my photos. Once my daughter was born, she became my subject. Those pictures I will be able to cherish forever! Now, I'm using my camera to capture other people, so they can have those memories frozen in time. This is something that I enjoy doing from beginning to end, and am so thankful for the opportunities thus far!
My Style
My style is warm, natural, and light. I love all types of photos that capture authentic love and happiness: the traditional shots where everyone is looking at the camera, the shots where no one is looking at the camera but laughing and smiling at each other, and even the in between moments when they don't expect me to be capturing them at all.
My Story!
Where it started
Lee and I met in middle school! We started our relationship in the 8th grade and have been together ever since
2009
I graduated!
I graduated college with my BSN and became an RN. Nursing school was one of the hardest and most anxiety ridden times of my life!
I started my first job as a night shift RN a few months later after passing the NCLEX (which was also the worst!)
2017
We're engaged!
After nine years together, graduating high school together, going to separate colleges freshman year but the same sophomore year, graduating college, and starting my career as a new nurse, I was getting to marry my best friend!
2018
A Lifelong Promise
We're married! We were surrounded by such love from our family and our sweet friends!
2019
Our Rainbow Baby
We miscarried with our first pregnancy very early. I didn't realize how sadly common losing a baby could be. Through our experience, we grieved and we grew closer together.
And then our prayers were answered with a healthy second pregnancy!
2020
Our greatest gift
We had no idea if we were having a boy or girl our whole pregnancy. We wanted it to be a surprise! Everyone around us told us we were insane, but it was the greatest gift to find out she was a girl!

My Little Familia
I feel so blessed everyday waking up to a sweet and fiery bebé, and a very loving and supportive husband. Even though a toddler is not for the weak, the sweet moments Eliana gives me when she feels like giving love (she's a daddy's girl), means the world!

Here we go again!
We are going to have 2 kids, 2 and under!
We found out the gender this time!
We are so so excited, but then I also forget a lot of the times what is yet to come. Maybe it's a defense mechanism haha!
2022
A Girl!!!
We welcomed our second girl to our family! Eliana is so interested in her baby sister, Soraya, and is the best big sister. We are adjusting to being a family of four by taking one day at a time. We love them so much!!

Best of Friends
I love getting to see such a strong relationship grow from these two sisters. They are the complete opposites in personalities, and they love each other so much! They fight like enemies as well, haha.
